One of the reasons we like going up to the farm to tend to our garden plot (apart from growing enough beans to feed a small nation -- note to self, plant fewer beans next year), is that it gives us some time to think and to talk, in between swatting mosquitos.
So we had a bit of a talk, and decided that even if we couldn't stay for the whole weekend, we could manage the drive down for the day. I'll pack a picnic lunch, and it'll give us a chance to connect and re-connect with some great people.
And as Rob pointed out, maybe it would help me pull myself up out of my funk, at which point I might actually be able to think up some ideas for solving other thorny problems.
Or not. At least I'll have had a good day in the company of good friends.
